How to Send a Fax Through Email?

You can send a fax directly from your email in just a few steps.

What You Need

  • Linked Email: Your email must be connected to a fax server (only one server per email).
  • Supported File Types: You can attach:
    • .pdf
    • .doc
    • .docx

Steps

  1. Enter the Fax Number in the To Field
    Type the 10-digit North American fax number (area code + number) followed by @emakfax.com
    ✅ Example: 5145551234@emakfax.com
    ❌ Don’t include the country code, spaces, or dashes.
  2. (Optional) Add a Subject
    The subject becomes the title of the fax cover sheet.
    Leave it blank to skip the cover sheet.
  3. Attach Your File(s)
    You must attach at least one supported document.
    If nothing is attached, the fax won’t send.
  4. Send the Email
    Click Send. Your fax will be delivered to the number.

Tips

  • Double-check the number before sending.
  • Always use 10 digits only for the fax number (no country code).
  • Make sure your email is linked to a fax server.
