How to Prepare for your EMAK Telecom Installation
To get your phone system running as quickly as possible on the installation date, please ensure the following:
- Ensure your IT administrator is available for the duration of the installation in case our technician has any questions.
- Verify that the Ports required for Emak Service are unblocked – Important for firewall users (Sonicwall, NET+ ACDQ, Clinics, etc)
- Fill out this information sheet and send it back to support@emak.tech
- Make sure our technician has access to your server room.
- If data wires need to be fished through walls, coordinate this with a wiring professional before your installation.
- If electrical wires need to be fished through walls, coordinate this with an electrician before your installation (our technicians are not authorized to do this).
- Your computers and old phones are accessible and unobstructed by furniture, etc.
- If you are not using a PoE switch, free power outlets are required where your new phones will be installed*.
- If you use a router other than the one supplied by EMAK Telecom, we might require your IT admin to enable QoS on your router to ensure consistent voice quality.
- Once the EMAK Telecom technician has completed the installation, you will be able to log into the EMAK portal to set up your speed dial keys and start managing your calling features right away**.
* Power bars are not included in the installation.
** Login credentials will be emailed to you on the install date or when requested.
*** Additional data cables other than the ones included with the phones will be charged separately.
